 We are trying to create good genetic stock. Little is known about the genetics of Akitas of Japanese origin, therefore extra care must be given in breeding decisions. We strive for type, sound temperament, sound physical health, correct conformation, movement, and adherence to the AKC standard.
We are also planning another breeding with our CH. Ava with CH. Neko, the grandsire of CH. Remington, multi BOB winner including Westminster. We also have adult males and females for placement with loving families.

In our quest for beautiful Japanese Akita type and correct substance and structure, we are very pleased with the progress we are making as evidenced by Starfield's I Love
Lucy, born on August 14, 2004 here at Starfield Akitas. Born to CH. Ava X Dennis, Lucy at two years old is 80 lbs. and possesses many of the Japanese attributes for which
we are striving. She is a wonderful addition to our work in progress. We are planning a breeding of Lucy and our own Japanese Champion Kanzan in the near future.
